ALPINE PLEASURES:

5

Plenty of skiing opportunities

Boafall is located in a rocky area at an altitude of about 160 metres. The hilly terrain is ideal for skiing and the area even offers alpine disciplines.
Even when there isn't much snow in the rest of Skåne, there can be between 10 and 20 cm of snow in Boafall, as Boafall is located at the highest point in southern Sweden. In recent years, there has been a lot of snow in the months of Dec-March - but there is no guarantee - see the local weather forecast to the right.

JUST 10 KM FROM VÅNGABACKEN

If you're into alpine skiing, we're lucky enough to be just 10 kilometres from Vångabacken"Skåne's closest alp!". Vångabacken is a slalom slope that offers the whole package of alpine pleasures in an atmosphere of modest pride. The vertical drop and piste length are every bit as good as the major ski resorts in southern Sweden, there's a ski school and equipment rental, and the snow cannons ensure good driving conditions.
For some inexplicable reason, the area is only visited by a few thousand people a year, so there's plenty of space and almost no queues at the three lifts. And to complete the story, skiing and ski hire is not expensive.
