THE 'BIG CITY' OLOFSTRÖM:

Lots of shopping opportunities

For more shopping - and an urban experience - head to Olufström. Olufström is best known for the Volvo factory, which also characterises the cityscape here. Olofström is about 6 km from Boafall and here you'll find several large shopping centres, not least MAXI, which is similar to the Danish Bilka. MAXI is a good 10-minute drive from Boafall and is also open 7 days a week. Monday-Friday 8.00-21.00 and Saturday-Sunday 9.00-19.00. Olofström also has a pharmacy, restaurants, Systembolaget, etc. In Olofström you can also rent canoes and sail on the lakes west of the town. (See more under Nature experiences). You can also play bowling or mini golf. The town also has one small beginners' slope for young skiers, but you'll have to drive a little further if you want to ski in more challenging terrain. JÄMSHÖG

The closest shopping facilities to Boafall are in Jämshög, just 3.5 kilometres from the house. Here you'll find a well-stocked supermarket, ICA, where you can buy all your groceries. ICA's opening hours are Monday-Friday 9.00-20.00, Saturday 9.00-18.00 and Sunday 10.00-18.00. At ICA you can also buy fresh bread for breakfast. Jämshög also has a café, a UNO-X petrol station and a few smaller shops.

FLEA MARKETS - A SWEDISH NATIONAL SPORT

Swedes love flea markets - Loppis - just as much as we Danes do. And you'll find a wealth of markets throughout southern Sweden - including near Boafall. Here you can find all kinds of flea market bargains - including Swedish antiques and old Swedish elm-style furniture. In Olufström, next to MAXI, there is a public flea market that is open every weekday Monday-Friday. On the website loppiskartan.se you can get an overview of all the flea markets in Sweden. The site has a handy search function, so you can search for flea markets within a certain radius of Ødegården Boafall. It is possible to register as a member on the site. This opens up a function where you can save all your favourite flea markets.
